Gallatin, located in Sumner County, Tennessee, is a city rich in history and charm. A public auction is scheduled for May 28, 2025, at 12:00 PM local time at the Sumner County Courthouse in Gallatin. The auction will involve the sale of property as part of a public notice. |
Elvis Shawn Bush, 43, has been convicted of felony escape following an investigation by the Sumner County Sheriffβs Office. Along with two other inmates, Bush escaped from Sumner County Jail while serving sentences. Indicted in April 2024, Bush was quickly apprehended after the escape. The two other inmates were also recaptured. Felony escape is a Class E felony in Tennessee with a maximum sentence of six years in prison. Bush will be sentenced at a later date by Criminal Court Judge Dee David Gay. District Attorney General Ray Whitley commended the efforts of law enforcement in capturing the escapees. |
