Crisis Cleanup Hotline Activated for Sumner County Residents Affected by 2026 Winter Storm |
Free Assistance Available for Storm-Damaged Properties Through February 13 |
The recent 2026 winter storm has left many in Sumner County facing significant property damage. In response, the Tennessee Emergency Management Agency (TEMA) has activated the Crisis Cleanup Hotline to assist residents in need. By calling 844-965-1386, homeowners can connect with local volunteer groups offering free services such as removing fallen trees, drywall repair, flood cleanup, appliance removal, roof tarping, and mold mitigation. It's important to note that while these services are provided at no cost, assistance is not guaranteed due to high demand. The hotline will remain operational through February 13, 2026. Spanish-speaking residents can also access assistance by calling the same number. In addition to the Crisis Cleanup Hotline, local municipalities have established specific guidelines for debris removal: Gallatin: Residents can find information on garbage, recycling, and brush collection on the city's official website. Goodlettsville: Tree limbs can be taken to the City's Convenience Center at 218 Connell St., open Wednesdays from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Saturdays from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Residents within the city limits may also place limbs by the road and call 615-851-220 to request pickup. More information can be found on the city's website. Hendersonville: Details on limb and brush collection are available on the city's public works department page. Portland: The city's Facebook page and official website provide updates and information regarding storm debris removal. Westmoreland: Residents can refer to the city's official website for public works services. White House: Information is available on the city's Facebook page, or residents can call public services at 615-672-3654 for questions.
