Hendersonville Parks and Recreation is now accepting registrations for its fall youth tennis lessons and adult pickleball leagues.
For young tennis enthusiasts, the department offers lessons for ages 6 to 14. Sessions are scheduled on Tuesdays and Thursdays, with 6 to 8-year-olds meeting from 5 to 6 p.m., and 9 to 14-year-olds from 6 to 7 p.m.
The cost is $85 per participant, with an additional $5 fee for non-residents of Hendersonville. Registration is open from August 17 through August 27, 2024, and lessons will take place on September 5, 10, 12, 17, 19, and 24. Spaces are limited, so early registration is encouraged.
Adult pickleball enthusiasts can join various divisions, including Men's Recreational (3.0 and below), Men's Competitive (3.5 and above), Women's Recreational (3.0 and below), Women's Competitive (3.5 and above), and Co-Ed. Matches are held on Mondays at the Veterans Park Pickleball Courts.
Each division is limited to eight teams, with a registration fee of $60 per team. Registration is open from August 4 through August 29, 2025.
