Sumner County Celebrates Milestone Achievements with Engaging Photo Opportunities |
The Tennessee Department of Safety and Homeland Security (TDOSHS) has introduced the TN Safe Driver Poster initiative, offering new drivers a unique way to commemorate obtaining their Learner Permit or Driver License.
Starting this month, Driver Services Centers across Tennessee, including those in Sumner County, will feature cut-out posters designed for celebratory photos.
These posters prominently display popular hashtags from the Tennessee Highway Safety Office (THSO), which are part of ongoing campaigns promoting safe driving habits among drivers of all ages.
TDOSHS Deputy Commissioner Les Dolente emphasized the dual purpose of the initiative: "These new posters offer a fun and engaging way to celebrate our newest drivers while emphasizing the importance of safe driving."
New drivers are encouraged to share their milestone moments on social media, tagging TDOSHS to spread the message of safe driving.

In Sumner County, the community has warmly embraced this initiative.
Local media outlet Sumner County Pulse highlighted the enthusiasm among new drivers and their families, noting that the posters have become a popular feature at the Driver Services Center.
By combining celebration with education, the TN Safe Driver Poster initiative aims to instill a culture of safety and responsibility among Tennessee's newest drivers from the very start of their driving journey. |
