TN Board of Chiropractic Examiners Elects 2026 President |
Hendersonville Native, Dr. Jason Hulme Elected |
Dr. Jason Hulme, a Hendersonville native and nationally recognized leader in sports chiropractic, has been unanimously elected President of the Tennessee Board of Chiropractic Examiners (TBCE) for the 2026 term.
The election took place on Thursday, January 15, during an official board meeting.
The TBCE is the regulatory body responsible for overseeing chiropractic licensure and professional standards across the state.
Its mission is to protect the health, safety, and welfare of the citizens of Tennessee by ensuring competent and ethical chiropractic care.
Dr. Hulme brings more than sixteen years of clinical, academic, and leadership experience to the presidency.
He is the founder and owner of Active Sports Therapy in Hendersonville, a high-performance sports chiropractic and rehabilitative clinic established in 2009 alongside his wife and co-founder, Cassie Hulme.
High school sweethearts at Hendersonville High School, the Hulmes returned to their hometown following graduate training to build a practice rooted in community care, interdisciplinary collaboration, and clinical excellence.
Active Sports Therapy is widely respected for its systematic, team-based approach to chiropractic evaluations, re-examinations, and objective discharge criteria.
The clinic’s structured preceptorship program has received national recognition and was prominently featured in "The Business of Movement" by Gray Cook, for which Dr. Hulme served as a subject matter expert.
In addition to his regulatory service, Dr. Hulme is the team chiropractor for the Nashville Soccer Club, beginning in 2025 and re-signed for the 2026 season.
He previously served with distinction as Medical Director of the Hendersonville Half Marathon for eight consecutive years, supporting thousands of endurance athletes and playing a key role in the event’s medical planning and athlete safety before its conclusion last year.
Dr. Hulme has consistently described that role as one of the greatest honors of his professional career.
Dr. Hulme holds Diplomate status with the American Chiropractic Board of Sports Physicians and is also a Diplomate in Medical Acupuncture.
A frequent speaker at the profession’s largest annual conference hosted in Las Vegas, where he teaches practical, patient-centered sports chiropractic strategies to clinicians from around the world.
Dr. Hulme is active in his state association and, in recognition of his leadership and professional contributions, he was named Chiropractor of the Year by the Tennessee Chiropractic Association in 2020.
“It is a tremendous honor to serve the state of Tennessee in this capacity,” stated Dr. Hulme, reflecting on his election.
“The mission of the Board is first and foremost to protect the public, and I take that responsibility seriously.
I am grateful for the trust of my fellow board members and for the opportunity to continue serving our profession with integrity, transparency, and accountability.
I could not do this work without the support of my loving wife, Cassie, and our daughters, who make every part of this journey possible.”
Dr. Hulme was first appointed to the TBCE by former Gov. Bill Haslam and has remained committed to advancing regulatory standards that prioritize patient safety and professional excellence.
The Tennessee Board of Chiropractic Examiners is a state regulatory board responsible for licensing chiropractors, enforcing standards of practice, and protecting the public through oversight and education.
The Board operates under Tennessee law to ensure chiropractic care is delivered safely, ethically, and in the best interest of patients statewide.
